Anna grew up on a farm in Bon Carbo, Colorado. As the eldest she helped her mother care for her siblings. She married Juan Ernest Abeyta November 27, 1947 and together they raised three children. She worked as a cook at Mt. San Rafael Hospital, Trinidad State Nursing home, Hausman Drug as well as owning and operating her own café, The Chile Bowl. She earned a Nursing Degree from Trinidad State Junior College and was employed by Mt. San Rafael Hospital as an OR nurse. She changed careers and was employed by First National Bank in Trinidad, Colorado until her retirement. We were all blessed and fortunate to celebrate her 90th birthday in February. She was thrilled to see everyone and was surprised so many “remembered” her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
