Passed away on January 10, 2021 at the age of 81. Jerry is the only son of Fred and Lena (Pearson) and was born on April 4, 1939. He was raised in Hanley Falls, MN until he graduated high school. Jerry joined the US Army in 1957 and was later honorably discharged. Jerry was a salesman and entrepreneur. He enjoyed developing and managing rental properties and a water business. Jerry retired in Coon Rapids, MN. His hobbies included woodworking and woodcarving. Jerry’s parents and wife Marsha preceded Jerry in death. Survived by sons Paul (Amy) Bestland of Grand Rapids MN, Mike (Kari) Bestland of Ham Lake, MN; and daughter Jeanne (Scott) Thompson of Nevis, MN; along with grandchildren Adele and Audrey Bestland, Alec, Seth and Aiden Thompson; and his significant other Louise Little. Jerry had a big heart and will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank Autumn Glen Assisted Living of Coon Rapids, for the care and support provided while Jerry lived with them. A celebration of life will be held later when family and friends can gather safely. Private interment for family only.
