David W. Jones, 75, of Lohman, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Capitol Region Medical Center. He was born on October 5, 1945 in Cole County, a son of the late John and Elnora (Amos) Jones. David was united in marriage on July 3, 1965 to Jane A. Koestner, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lohman.

David was a 1963 graduate of Russellville High School. He worked for Thompkins Chevrolet as a mechanic and later ran the body shop. David also ran the wrecker for the Harold Campbell Filling Station. He was employed with JCI for over 35 years until his retirement. He joined the Laborers Local 662 Union and celebrated his 50th year of membership in 2020.

David was a lifelong member of Enon Baptist Church. He was very active with the Russellville Engine Show. David enjoyed farming, piddling with all things mechanical and restoring antique cars and tractors. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and watching his grandkids sporting activities.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jane; three daughters: Diane Ott (David), Susie Gorrell (Perry) and Donna Roe (Tim); siblings: Janice Watkins (Bill), Carol Tinsman, Johnny Jones and Joyce Blackwell (Dwayne); grandchildren: Debra Lake (Jack II), Crystal Ott (fiancée Willie Wolters), Madison Oliver (fiancée Zac Baladenski), Austin Roe and Gavin Roe; great-grandchildren; Jake Lake III, William Lake, Mason Lake, Faith Ashley and Michael Ashley and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, son: Robert Wayne Jones and sister: Karen Sue Jones.

Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Weber-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Weber-Millard Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Enloe Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Enon Baptist Church or Russellville High School Baseball Program.
