Funeral services for James Preston Young, retired grocer who died at his residence in Kosciusko Friday were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ.
Young, who was 79, died after a three week illness. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Burial was in Nations Cemetery near Kilmichael, with Jordan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Ministers officiating were Carlos B. Gunter and Charles Curtis.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Carolyn Virginia Young of Kosciusko; one daughter, Mrs. Carry M. Brantley, Weir; 2 sisters Mrs. L. S. Elgin, Knoxville, Tenn. and Mrs. M. L. Mansell, Camden, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
