She was born March 18, 1931, in Kane, Pa., the daughter of William and Edith Kepler Wichman.
She was a member of New Heights United Methodist Church.
She was an avid bingo player and cookie baker. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was especially close to her daughter-in-law, Lisa Ross, and sons-in-law, Hop Chase and Terry Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Donald C. Ross, whom she married Sept. 29, 1951; a son, Rick A. Ross of Celoron; two daughters: Cindy K. Chase of Jamestown and Sandi M. Jones of Greenhurst; six grandchildren: Erick Ross of Schenectady, Kylie and Michael Ross, both of Celoron, and Jamie and Timothy Perrin and Taige Jones, all of Greenhurst; eight stepgrandchildren: Maryanne Lussier of Ontario, Corey and Colin Chase, Tyler, Tarrin and Tristian Jones, all of Jamestown, Tanner Jones of Greenhurst and Dawn Vincent of West Ellicott; five stepgreat-grandchildren; one stepgreat-great-grandson; and a sister, Meme Fitch of Johnsonburg, Pa.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Ross; two stepgrandchildren: Dawn and Cameron Chase; six sisters; and two brothers.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in New Heights United Methodist Church. Pastor Gordon Robbins will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home and one half hour prior to the service Monday in the church.
