This is my paternal grandfather. He was a farmer, was known to be a prizefighter in the welter weight class, in golden gloves boxing. In these contests, he apparently, went by "Cotton". The only known picture of him was on a poster seen in a Chillicothe, Ross, Ohio museum at least 25 years ago (1997).

He changed his name to avoid the authorities. The name on his death certificate is Arthur Everett. He used this name for a period of time after leaving Ohio. He was married to Roma Irene (Harrington) Wagner and had the following children, (not in birth order);
