Mrs. Emily A. Adams, 83, 780 S. Third St., died early Tuesday morning, Jan 16 at the Whitmore Lake Convalescent Center, Whitmore Lake, following an extended illness.
She was born Feb. 14, 1895 in Jasonville, Indiana, a daughter of Charles and Ada (Robinson) Grigsby.
On June 28, 1920 she was married to William A. Adams in Detroit, moving to the Brighton area in 1928.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the Michigan Chapter 314 O.E.S. of Brighton, the Brighton Kings Daughters and the Pleasant Valley Social Club.
Surviving in addition to the husband, William, are two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Eunice) Williams and Mrs., Neally (Flossie) Miller of Howell, several nieces and nephews including Mrs. Maxine Sawyer of Brighton.

Funeral services we're held at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 19, from the Keen Funeral Home with Dr. Richard C. Cheatham, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Brighton, officiating.
Burial was at Fairview Cemetery, Brighton.
