Henry Eugene Patterson, of Waco, TX passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2021, at age 93.

Graveside services will be celebrated at 2 pm on Friday, January 15th at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco with Father Joe Geleney.

Henry was born the son of Lowery E and Laura Ethel (Smith) Patterson on January 27, 1927, in McGregor, TX. He joined the Navy on his 17th birthday (1944) and proudly served on the USS Kankakee (AO39), the Pipeline of the Seven Seas, during WW II and through November 7, 1947, when he was honorably discharged.

He married Irene Olsovsky on January 21, 1946, and shared a marriage of love and devotion for 66 years. After completion of business school, Henry worked as Office Manager for Rainbo Baking Company in Waco, TX as well as in both Denver and Pueblo, CO for almost 35 years. Following Rainbo, he worked as the Controller at Davis Brothers Publishing Company in Waco for another 10 years.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Irene; daughter Irene Warren; son Donald Patterson; parents Lowery E and Laura Ethel Patterson; stepmother Oma Patterson; brothers Vernon, Elsmer Elton (LD), William Dial, & Lowery Edward (Junior) Patterson; sisters Marie Hill, Minnie Mae Brooks, & Patsy Frazier; stepbrothers Jesse, Norris & John Delmer Patterson; stepsister Arvie Smith, and many other cherished loved ones and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter-in-law, Terri Patterson, daughter Sandra Frits, sons Allen Patterson & wife Karey, and Bruce Patterson & wife Melissa; Grandchildren Tina Dufault, Janet Patterson, Jean Richardson, Eric & Kevin Frits, Kristi Karrington, Lacy Patterson, and Cameron, Clay, & Cayman Patterson; Great Grandchildren Jackelyn, Julianne & James Dufault, Michael Palermo, Derek, Jesse, & Gracie Richardson, and Knoxie Karrington, and Great Great Grandchildren Connor, Julian & Gavin Palermo, and William Glaser; and many other cherished loved ones and friends.

In addition to cherishing time with his family and friends, Henry loved to celebrate life by yard work, gardening, ranching, dancing, and making fans.
