Wife of Byron S Sprague. Daughter of Richmond and Hannah Brakeman (Crandall) Lake

Mrs. Mary E. Sprague passed away Tuesday morning,July 21, after a lingering illness. For the past two years Mrs. Sprague has made her home with her son, William R. Sprague, coming here from the farm south of Kanorado, where she had lived on a homestead with her family since in 1886, the family coming here from Iowa.
Mrs. Sprague was past 87 years old at the time of her death.
Mrs. Sprague is survived by her eight children, one daughter preceded her in death when she was only seven years ol. Her husband also died a number of years ago. The surviving cheldren are: Matt Sprague, who lives on the farm south of Kanorado, Mrs. Lorett Allen, of San Diego,Calif.,Mrs Maggie Hocket of Guyman,Okla.,Clarence Sprague of Poenix,Ariz.,Mary D Coats of Clarion,Ia., Mrs. Celia Cole and Mrs. Ida Peterson,of the Kanorado comunity, and William R. Sprague of Goodland. Allthe children except Mrs. Allen will be present for their mothers funeral.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bower Chapel with the Rev. Crider of Abilene in charge. Burial will be made in the Goodland cemetery.
