Harlow (Ken) Ambler of 300 W. Katella Ave., Anaheim, formerly of Pomona, died in San Antonio Community Hospital, Upland, at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday after a week of Illness.
Mr. Ambler was born May 20, 1907, in St Francisville, Ill. He lived in Illinois for many years and came to California in 1943 from Indianapolis, Ind. He resided in Culver City until 1947, then in Lancaser until 1951 when he moved to Pomona, and lived here until 1957. He was a member of Monument Lodge 657, F&AM, in Indianapolis.
Besides his widow, Mrs. June O. Ambler, he is survived by four daughters. Mrs. Howard Miller, Mrs. Robert Holloway and Miss Pat Ambler, all of Pomona, and Mrs. John H. Becker of Claremont; a son, Gerald L. Ambler of Indio; his father, Harlow B. Ambler of Quincy, Ill.; a brother, Rueban Ambler of Springfield, Ill.; two sisters, Dorothy Lillipop in Indiana and Mabel Pickrell of Dalton, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in Todd Memorial North Chapel. The Rev. Raymond A. Waser, pastor of Pilgrim Congregational Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Pomona Cemetery.
