WAGNER - (Rankin), Alice June, 85, South Fork, went to the big bowling alley in the sky, on Monday, January 11, 2021, at Windber Woods Senior Living Center. Eldest of nine children, born November 6, 1935; in Nolo, Pennsylvania; daughter of the late Walter and Twila June (Heitzenrater) Rankin.
Preceded in death by husband, Harold; parents; infant brother, Everett; brother, Walter; sister, Elizabeth Sandoval; son-in-law, Richard; son, Barry; daughter, Cathy; and grandson, Bradley.
Survived by daughter, Alice Lutsko, South Fork; sons, Harold (Josie), Nanty Glo; and David (Tracy), New York; daughter-in-law, Donna, Florida; grandchildren, Sheena, Apryle, Ricci, Jamie, Barry, Barbara, Tess, Amanda, Linda, Angeline, Amelia, and Andrew, 18.5 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and siblings, Phyllis Foreman, Diana Rager (Roy), Ardyth Reed (Tom), Richard Rankin (Pat), and Ginny Silver (Edward).
Alice retired from Laurel Crest Manor as the Activity Director. She attended Ebensburg Evangelical Bible Church and Wesley United Methodist Church, South Fork. She was an avid bowler, winning numerous trophies and was known as “Pink Lady” on the CB radio. She was a devoted Steelers fan, always waving her Terrible Towel while watching the games. She enjoyed crocheting, making her famous New Year’s Eve drinks for her granddaughters when they were young, and always looked forward to planning the yearly family reunion at Lakemont Park. In retirement Alice was a dedicated caregiver to her mother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Pastor Cliff Ritchey presiding. Interment, Edwards Memorial Cemetery, Belsano.
