Rites Held For Mrs. C.E. Snider
Funeral services for Mrs. E. E. Snider, 88 were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, in Howell-Doran Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Sam D. Taylor.
Burial was in City Cemetery under the direction of Howell-Doran Funeral Home.
She died Tuesday, Nov. 21, in San Saba Memorial Hospital.
Born Ora Bell Bohannon Sept. 28, 1879, at Springfield, Mo., she was the daughter of Phil Bohannon and Elizabeth O'Quin Bohannon. She was married to C.E. Snider in 1902 and had been a resident of San Saba county for 44 years. Her husband died Feb. 6, 1955. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Pete Circle of San Saba and Mrs. Henry Sieber of Buchanan Dam; four sons, G.E. Snider of San Saba, H.L. Snider of Lampasas, Carl Snider of Harker Heights and W.D. Snider of Buchanan Dam; 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; three brothers, George Bohannon of Stamford, Dewey Bohannon of Goldthwaite and Oral Bohannon of Big Valley; three sisters, Mrs. Elzie Snider of Ramona, Calif, Mrs. Claude Fallon of Big Spring and Mrs. Frank Sloan Sr. of San Saba.

SNIDER RITES HELD SUNDAY
Funeral services for Clarence Eugene Snider, 75-year-old retired farmer, were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam D. Taylor officiating.
Snider died at 7 a.m. Saturday following an illness of 10 months.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Belle Snider; six children, Mrs. Homer Circle, C.E. Snider and Carl Snider, all of San Saba, Mrs. Henry Sieber and Haskell Snider, both of Buchanan Dam, and Willard Snider of Burnet; two brothers, Roy Snider of Denton and Tully Snider of O'Donnell; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A native of Cleburne, he was born Nov. 27, 1880, the son of Henry Clay Snider and the former Missouri Cornelius.
He was married Oct. 27, 1902 in Goldthwaite to the former OraBelle Bohannan, and they moved to this county in 1919. He had been a member of the Baptist Church since 1898.
Pallbearers were Frank Maxwell, Frank Sloan Jr., Bill Reeves, Quentin Mullins, Don Sloan, Joe Sieber, Jesse Robbins and Guy Franklin.
Burial was in the City Cemetery, with Howell-Doran funeral directors in charge of arrangements.
