Duke Vunovich, 83, of Milton, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019.

Duke was born September 5, 1935, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Clara H. (Harden) and Alexander Vunovich. He joined the U.S. Navy March 23, 1954 and was stationed at NAS Whiting Field. There he met the love of his life, Voncile Cobb. Duke and Voncile married March 11, 1955, and just celebrated their 64th Anniversary.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Tina Denise; son-in-law, Rick Reynolds; and two brothers, Steve Vunovich and Alex Vunovich.

Duke is survived by his wife, Voncile Vunovich; daughter, Teresa Reynolds; two sons, Kenneth Vunovich and Jerrel and Debbie Vunovich; grandchildren, Christi and Terry Capers, Stephani and Jonathan Perritt, Staci and Jason Weeks, Jerrad and Kayla Vunovich, and Stevie and Tyler Foley, all of Milton, Florida. He also leaves to cherish his memory, two sisters-in-law, Jerelene Spears and Gail Emond, a brother-in-law, Jimmy Cobb; a special uncle and aunt from Kansas City, Missouri, Sam and Minnie Harden; and nine great-grandchildren, Michael Reed, Madisyn Bougerons, Branson Linebaugh, Jason Wade Weeks, Jaci Perritt, Jackson Foley, Jaxon Perritt, Emerson Weeks and Parker Foley.
