Betty Lou Brown, 77, Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed from this life Monday, January 4, 2021. Betty was born on July 16, 1943 in Fresno, California, to Grandville Ragsdale and Gertie (Edmondson) Ragsdale.

The family returned to Oklahoma when Betty was a young girl, and she grew up in Sand Springs with her five siblings. She graduated from Charles Page High School in 1961. Betty had her beloved daughter in 1965 and dearest grandson in 1982. She was married to Larry Brown in Miami, Oklahoma, on July 3, 1993.

Betty wore several hats throughout her exciting life, from bookkeeping for several companies to owning a bar. She was truly the life of every party and loved to throw them for her friends and loved ones. Betty and Larry loved to travel throughout the United States and abroad. Friends and strangers alike always remarked about her zest for life and spunkiness, but no one was a stranger to Betty. She embraced people from all walks of life with open arms, yet was a fierce defender of her family at the same time. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.

Preceding Betty in death were her parents Grandville and Gertie Ragsdale.

She is survived by her husband; daughter and husband and step-daughter and husband; three step-sons and their wives; three sisters; brothers-in-law; two brothers and their wives; ten grandchildren; four great-granchildren ( the newest joys of her life); and many other relatives and a host of friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Graveside services for Betty will be Saturday, January 9, 2021, at 11:00am in the Woodland Memorial Park, Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Visitation for Betty will be Friday, January 8, 2021, from 12 noon until 8:00pm.
