Dorotha Belle Alexander, 88, of Findlay and formerly of Arlington, passed away peacefully at 12:30 a.m., Saturday January 9, 2021, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was born to the late Charles and Virginia (Furr) Wickham. She was raised by her father and Ersie and LaVelle Johnson. Dorotha married Mervin L. Alexander, Sr. on May 29, 1949, and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2008. Dorotha is survived by her children: Mervin (Nancy) Alexander, Jr., Linda (Steve) Rankey and Bruce (Jonna) Alexander, all of Findlay; grandchildren: Chris (Nicole) Alexander, B. Ryan (Becky) Alexander, Chad (Jamie) Alexander, Amanda (Tim) Hodson, Curtis (Becki) Wiesely, Lindsay (Kyle Wagner) Alexander and Alexis (Jama) Rankey; and 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean (Dick-deceased) Herron of Dayton; brother, Jack (Sharon) Wickham of Bluffton. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert (Zona-deceased) Wickham. Dorotha was a member of the Arlington United Methodist Church. She was an avid golfer at Sycamore Springs Golf Course, Arlington, where she played well into her 80's. She was a very generous and caring person who volunteered many hours as a "Pink Lady" at Blanchard Valley Hospital and Hope House in Findlay. Dorotha with her husband, Merv, visited all 50 United States and also traveled the world. They took their children and spouses on a cruise to the Virgin Islands to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in March of 1999. All services will be private, and burial will be next to her husband in Arlington Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.
