Wilda Virginia Davis was born in Berkeley Station, WV, the daughter of the late James and Elston Ida Whitacre Ashby. She had worked sewing at a clothing plant, E.J. Fennel Corp. until her retirement in 1976. Wilda and her husband Daniel were described as wonderful neighbors by those that lived near them. While elderly, they were still very active. Camping was an activity they often enjoyed. The couple was murdered in their home on Valentine's Day 1994.
