John V. Bilbrey, at the age of 92, of 132 Lenox Ave, Oneida, N.Y. died December 25, 2020. He was born in Scott County, Oneida, Tennessee on October 3, 1928 the son of Herbert and Julia Sexton Bilbrey. Mr. Bilbrey graduated high school in 1947 and enlisted in the United State Army in 1950. He served during the Korean War with the 23rd Regiment and 2nd Infantry Division until his discharge in 1952. He has resided in Oneida since 1974, coming from New York City where he lived for several years. Mr. Bilbrey worked at the former Hotel Oneida for over 20 years. He was well known in the area and was often seen walking the streets of Oneida in the summer, he had many friends. He is survived by several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth Bilbrey and Paul E. Bilbrey, and one sister Imogene Bilbrey Carson. The Fiore Funeral Home, 303 Main Street is in charge of thearrangements. There will be no calling hours or service and burial will be made in Marcum Cemetery in Oneida, Tennessee.
