Mr. Carr passed away in Proctor Hospital in Peoria Tuesday morning where he had been admitted Sunday night. He had been in failing health or several months.
Visitation will be Thursday after 4 p.m. in the Bouton Memorial Home.
Born in Peoria County, March 19, 1878, he was a son of John and Grace Corbett Carr. He resided in Peoria County all his life with the exception of two years spent in Virginia and North Carolina.
He was united in marriage to Miss Lillie Pierce January 6, 1904. For many years, the couple resided on a farm near Alta. They moved to Princeville 37 years ago. He was town marshal in Princeville for several year. He was a member of Masonic Lodge of Alta.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Walter of Washington and Howard E. and Cyril Carr of Peoria; one daughter, Mrs. Mavis Theobald of Wyoming; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild, one sister, Miss Grace Carr of Peoria; and host of other relatives and friends.
Three brothers, Alfred, Everett and George Carr preceded him in death.
