Born February 12, 1949, in Thermopolis, WY, he was one of two children of Earl and Cleta Glendean (Upton) Myers. Following high school he attended the University of Wyoming where he graduated with a degree in Radio Broadcasting.
He began working for the Wyoming Department of Transportation and later became an investigator and examiner for the Driver’s License Division traveling throughout the state.
Rob married JoAnn Marie Mallman, February 27, 1982 in Thermopolis. The couple raised four children.
He was a member of Malta Lodge #17 AF&AM and a lifetime member of BPO Elks 1746. Rob enjoyed fishing, traveling back roads throughout Wyoming, watching basketball and football and loved his furry friends, especially his deceased beagle, Xiggy. He also enjoyed weekend breakfast and coffee with friends and family.
Cherishing his memory is his wife, JoAnn, of 38 years; children, Terry (Melissa Kinney) Scholz and Boone Myers, all of Thermopolis, Trina Slover of Thermopolis and Shasta (John) Shafer of Round Mountain, NV; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cleta Myers.
Full burial will be held at Monument Hill Cemetery, Monday, January 11, 2:00 PM. A Celebration of his Life will be held in the late Spring.
