Helen G Swope, 72, of Leffler Road, Died Tuesday afternoon in Wood County Hospital following an extended illness.

She was a member of the Women's' Missionary Association at the United Brethern in Christ Church, Jerry City, and the Women's Christian Temperance Union.

She was born March 30, 1908 in Wood County to Mr. and Mrs. Grant Dukes (Gertrude Snavely). She married Guy H Swope on Aug. 22, 1928 and he survives.

Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Janice Meeker, Mrs. Frances Hathaway and Mrs. Elaine Stubbins, all of Jerry City, and Mrs. Marilyn Vanek, Pemberville; a son Robert, Bowling Green; two stepsons Ralph Copperas Cove, Texas, and Herman, Leesburg, Va., a stepdaughter, Neva Swope, Rio Rancho, N.M.; two brothers, Carl, North Baltimore, and Robert, Laguna Hills, Calif.; 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the church with Rev. Paul Conrad and Rev. Leslie Lightner officiating, Burial will be in Jerry City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 11:30 a.m. on Friday at the Hrae Funeral Home, North Baltimore.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
