Robert H. Painter, 76, went to be with his Lord, Saturday January 2, 2021 at his home in Morristown. He was a trustee, past Sunday school superintendent, and longstanding member of Catherine Nenney Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by parents Hobert and Margaret Ruth Painter.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Priscilla Overholt-Painter; son, Robert H. “Robby” (Sherry) Painter, Jr.; daughter, Brooke (David) Painter-Manuel of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, who knew him as Poppy, Zachariah “Zap” Painter, Stella and Scarlett Manuel; Lucretia (Michael) Frazee; and Aleeta (Josh) Blakeney; great grandchildren, Solomon Frazee, Lillian, Roselyn and Jonathan Blakeney; brothers, Glenn (Mary Lois) Painter and Hobert “Buddy” Painter; sisters, Melba Painter-Cabbage and Ina “Bunny” Painter; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2PM, Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Catherine Nenney Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. James Ramsey Officiating.
For those attending services, Facial coverings and social distancing are required.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to a charity of your choice.
