John W. Lucas age 61, of Shoals, passed on January 4, 2021 in Jasper, Indiana. He was born February 8, 1959 in Greene County, Indiana to Shirley Ray and Marian (Kline) Lucas. He married Brenda Sipes in 1979 and she survives.

John was a 1977 Graduate of Washington High School, received an Associates Degree from Oakland City University, and was a delivery driver for Prairie Farms throughout Southern Indiana.

Survivors include his wife Brenda; one son Lance Lucas; mother, Marian McKinney; grandson, Alex Crutchfield; one brother, Kenny (JoAnn) Lucas; mother-in-law, Evelyn Sipes; brothers-in-law, Harold (Debbie) Sipes and Rodney (Anna) Sipes; one sister-in-law, Alusha Sipes; and one uncle, Mel Kline.

He is preceded in death by his father, Shirley Ray; step father, Bill McKinney; father-in-law, Cecil Sipes and two nephews, R.J. Lucas and Kyle Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, January 7, 2021, at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Matt Sullivan will officiate. Visitation will be 10:00 AM Thursday until the time of service at the Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
