Violet M. Jones, 77, of Milan, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Avonlea Cottage, Milan.

A private family funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Burial will be at Bailey Cemetery, Keswick, IA. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Alzheimer’s Association in Violet’s memory.

Violet was born on May 6, 1943 in Rock Island, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Hollopeter) Crocker. She married Larry Jones on May 26, 1960 in Rock Island, he preceded her in death. Violet retired from Oscar Mayer as a line operator, and after retirement worked at Isabel Bloom. Violet and her husband lived in Milan, but was very proud when they purchased their dream home in Kirkwood, IL. They loved traveling together. Violet enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls and Isabel blooms. Her biggest joy was spending time with her siblings and their families.

Violet is survived by her siblings, Charles (Carol) Crocker, Pauline Peterson, and Rosalie Davis; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Jones; parents; siblings, Margaret Haines and Arthur Crocker; and brother-in-law, Errol Davis.
