Mrs. Lisa Lynn Cheeks Cody, age 55 of Cedartown, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021. She was born on January 18, 1965 in Anniston, Alabama.

Mrs. Cody is survived by her husband, Mark Cody; mother, Gail Lynch Cheeks; daughter, Letha McBurnett (Thomas); son, Jay Jackson (Nakesha); sisters, Shannon Williams and Mary Jackson; grandchildren, Thomas McBurnett III, Alyssa McBurnett, Jaycee Jackson, Rylan Jackson and Gavin Jackson. Several nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.

Mrs. Cody is preceded in death by her father, George Cheeks.



The funeral service for Mrs. Lisa Lynn Cheeks Cody will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at noon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral home with Rev. Michel Head officiating. Interment will follow at the Valley View Baptist Church Cemetery.



The family of Mrs. Cody will receive family and friends on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.



In accordance with the guidelines and recommendations set forth by the CDC, social distancing guidelines will be in place as well as the use of masks highly recommended for all services provided for Mrs. Lisa Lynn Cheeks Cody.



The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Tommy McBurnett, Thomas McBurnett, III, Jacob Cody, Hank Cody, Joey Williams, and Jason Moore.
