June was an avid bowler and travelled to many places with her leagues. June was a fervent senior advocate and represented the Oklahoma Silver Haired Legislature to State representatives. June was actively involved in the Tulsa and Creek Counties Senior Nutrition Program, she enjoyed spending time with The Broken Arrow Senior Activity Center.
June is survived by her six children, Felicia Snell and her husband Marc of Greenwood, Indiana, James Lawhorn and his wife, Kelly of San Jacinto, California, Lynne Westaway and her husband Paul of Franklin, New Hampshire, Mary Scherer and her husband Bill of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, Kathy Hadley of Attleboro, Massachusetts, and Tim Lawhorn and his wife Laura of Port Charlotte, Florida, daughter-in-law Carolyn Barkei-Lawhorn of Newnan, Georgia; siblings, Richard Fischer and his wife Judy of Louisville, Kentucky, Joanne Fischer-Smith and her husband Paul of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Virginia Pierce of Louisville, Kentucky; eighteen grandchildren, Elizabeth, David, Dennis, Erik, Karl, Ingrid, Gretchen, Yvette, Brigitte, Ashley, Ryan, McKenna, Kristin, Daniel, Patrick, Nichole, Chris and Alex; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of friends and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Richard Lawhorn, Jr. and a granddaughter, Sarah.
Funeral services will be held at 3PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Floral Haven's Funeral Home Chapel with Father Matt Gerlach officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
