J. Anderson Dies Saturday
Jeremy George Anderson, 76, Wever, RFD, died Saturday at 12:40 p.m. in Sacred Heart hospital after an illness of two weeks.
Born April 30, 1873, in Montrose, he spent his entire life in Lee county and farmed the last 20 years in Green Bay township. He was married at Keokuk on Dec. 2, 1896, to Ella Noles who died in 1911. He belonged to the Montrose Methodist church.
Mr. Anderson was the last of his family being preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. A son, Hal, also preceded him in death. A sister-in-law, Mrs. Ethel Anderson, Fort Madison, and several nephews and nieces are his closest relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. from Clements Chapel with Rev. Raymond M. Shipman officiating. Burial will be in Galland cemetery.
