Adelaide A. Agard of East Hampton, formerly of Meriden, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Middlesex Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Harold “Bud” Agard.

Adelaide was born on her family’s homestead in Meriden, December 18, 1921, a daughter of the late Thomas John Kronenberger and Agnes Sondaj and had been a long time Meriden resident. She attended St. Stanislaus School and the Meriden Public Schools and was employed by International Silver. Adelaide was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church, and was fiercely devoted to her family, her son; her sisters; and brothers. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motor home to Arizona and Florida, loved to entertain and was well known for her stuffed shrimp.

She is survived by her son Glenn Navitsky and his wife Roberta of Maine; her granddaughter Taylor Hickey and her husband Jason; her great grandson Tristan Hickey; her sisters Dorothy Eremita and husband Michael, Barbara Vosgien; her sisters-in-law Rita, Linda and Marilyn Kronenberger; many nieces; and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Florence (Mrs. Raymond) Saviteer, Rosalie (Mrs. Robert) Heck; and her brothers Thomas, Ted, Walter and John Kronenberger.

Due to the ongoing pandemic funeral services for Adelaide and Interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a safer time and will be announced by the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden.
