Raymond of Swartz Creek was born with his twin brother, Robert the son of Jack and Elaine Bronson Adams. He was a 1962 graduate of Montrose High School. Ray married his high school sweetheart and best friend Sally Westfall on November 5, 1966. Ray hired into the Swartz Creek Police Department in 1970 and was named Chief of Police in 1975. During his career as Chief, Ray was extremely influential with the youth of the Swartz Creek Community. He started the Inky Fingers Gang which was a program dedicated to fingerprinting the children. The first Swartz Creek Hometown Days was named "Ray Day". To know Ray was to love him, he was a man of integrity and was known as an "all around good guy". He died suddenly at age 65.
