John C. Milner Accidentally Killed
John C. Milner, aged 32 years, a farmer residing six miles east of this city, fell from his wagon Saturday evening while enroute home from town, sustaining injuries that caused his instant death. According to the information given us, Mr. Milner had been drinking freely that afternoon while in town, and his nine-year old son who was with him at the time of the accident, stated that his father was whipping the horses into a run, when the wagon ran into a rut, throwing the father out. The lad stopped the team and returned to his father, but found him lifeless, the head and body being badly bruised and some reports are current that his neck was broken.
The deceased leaves to mourn his departure a wife and four children.
Funeral services were held at the Ryan Cemetery Monday, conducted by the Rev. Curb.
