EDWARDS, P.A. East Lansing Formerly of Okemos Age 93, died September 25, 1991. Born April 27, 1898 in Traverse City, Mr. Edwards was a World War I veteran in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1924 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for architects in Chicago, Detroit and the Michigan State Highway Department designing roads, bridges and sewage treatment plants. Mr. Edwards was a member of Okemos Community Church, Okemos Senior Citizens and was a lifetime member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elva, in May of 1991. Surviving are 1 daughter, Ruth Briggs of Trenton, MI; 2 sons, Kenneth of Ottawa, Ontario and Ralph of Red Bank, NJ; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 1 brother, John of Central Lake, MI; and 1 sister, Margaret Osborn of Muscatine, IA. Funeral services, will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman East Chapel, East Lansing with the Rev. Charles D. Grauer, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Glendale Cemetery, Okemos.
