James was born September 22, 1955, in Bakersfield, Calif., to James Clarence Curliss and Margaret Inez (Argo) Curliss. James lived in Oklahoma City for most of his life. He graduated from U.S. Grant High School in 1973 and worked in the sign business for many years. The last 10 years of his life he was a plumber for Keeton Plumbing here in Ardmore. James will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents. His survivors are his sons, Jeremy Neal Curliss of Oklahoma City and wife, Angela, Joshua Neal Curliss of Norman, Okla., and James Neal “Jimmy” Curliss Jr. and wife, Rebecka of Blanchard, Okla.; daughter, Jessica Nicole Curliss of Blanchard, Okla.; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Gabriel, Addysyn, Brody and Avery. He is also survived by a sister, Oleta “Jodie” Jones of Ardmore; and brothers, Ben Faron Curliss of Helena, Okla., and Donald Ray Curliss of Ardmore. Griffin-Hillcrest Funeral Home of Ardmore, Okla.
