From Fannie Blackmon's Bible:
Baby Gladys was only 22 days old when she died. She was the first child born to Fannie Anna Bowdoin and Samuel Blackmon. She was laid to rest beside her Aunt Sarah Blackmon McQueen in Milligan Cemetery on the 12th of September.

The marker dedication was held today, June 17, 2021. Debbie remembers her Grannie grieving over this baby. She promised her Grannie she would mark Baby Gladys' grave. It was a small but lovely dedication attended by Debbie & Louis Mivelaz, who made the marker. Also attended by Sammy Danner who lead the singing of Amazing Grace, and Carol Hoch, who said the prayer. A wonderful tribute for a sweet baby, who would have been 103 years if she had lived.
