Dorothy Barbour Smith, 72, of Salem, died Monday, June 21, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital.

She was retired from General Electric in Salem. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary #484, a College of Regents member, and a member of Roanoke Chapter #1022 Women of Moose. She was a volunteer at the VA Medical Center in Salem.

She is survived by her husband, Warner E. Smith; four sons and daughters-in-law, Richard ("Dick") and Jean Jamison of Roanoke, Kenneth "Skippy" and Fay Rodgers of Blue Ridge, Taylor "Butch" and Pat Rodgers of Pensocola, Fla., Brian and Sonja Rogers of Ridgeway; one brother and sister-in-law, Luther and Irene Barbour of Purvis, Miss.; two sisters, Rosetta Jamison of Rocky Mount, Irene Cederleaf of Buffalo, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 24, 1993, at 10 a.m. at the Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Frank Feather officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lotz Salem Chapel.
