CARPENTER, Fern "Tootie" - after a long arduous battle finally entered into peace on Monday May 4, 2009, at Hardy Terrace Nursing Home. Fern, in her 86th year, is now re-united with her loving husband Harold (1994). Cherished mother of Marilyn "Pepper" (Ike) Isaacs. Special Granny to Greg (Karen) Alford, Jamie Alford, Meagan (Jamie) Panchuk, also Tina Issacs and Roxanne McCoy. Much loved Nan of Dalton and Jaycee Alford, and Tanner, Jaimee and Geramy Panchuk, and extra special Nan to Ashley, Karter, Kory, and McKenzie. Fern will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Geraldine and special friend Linda Rimmington. Fern was predeceased by her parents Edith and Ed Simon, her brothers William, Fred, Cecil, and Charlie and her sister Vera. Pepper and Ike would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the staff of Hardy Terrace Nursing Home, for going "above and beyond", in the care provided for our mother. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford, on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service held in the chapel on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
