Connie T. DeArdo, 70, of Wintersville, Ohio died Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born June 23, 1936 in Steubenville a daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Colantoni Maggi. Connie was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and served in many church organizations including C.W.C., St. Francis Society, Parish Council, Choir and Bingo. She was also an active member of Wintersville Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary. Connie had worked as a cook at Wintersville Elementary, Buchanan Junior High & Wintersville High School; as well as a clerk at Phar-Mor & Big Lots. Preceding Connie in death was her sister Loretta DiGregory. Connie is survived by her husband Joseph R. DeArdo, Sr.; sons Joseph R. (Lisa) DeArdo, Michael D. DeArdo & Paul E. (Lisa) DeArdo all of Wintersville; two grandchildren Steven & Megan DeArdo and sister Alice Parisi of Steubenville. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home in Wintersville on Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament with Msgr. Gerald E. Calovini officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Vigil services 3:45 p.m. Tuesday Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association of the American Cancer Society.
