Donald W. Acer, Jr. , 88, a longtime resident of Ormond Beach, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014. Don was born in Medina, New York, son of Donald and Ethel (Yaxley) Acer. A U.S. veteran, he honorably served in the Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. A residential and commercial realtor, Don was one of the founders of the Daytona Beach Realtor Association and owner of Donald Acer, Inc. He was a former member of the Ormond Beach Rotary where he was a past president and a member of Christ Community Church of Daytona Beach. Don is survived by his brother, Milford Y. Acer of Jacksonville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Road Ormond Beach. Friends may call between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. prior to services. Condolences may be shared at www.volusiamemorialfunerals.com
