Mrs. Mary Adams Passed Away Tuesday
Mrs. Mary Adams died at the home of her nephew, Mr. D. C. Alligood in Pelham
last Tuesday about noon after being confined to her bed for two weeks. Cancer
of the liver was the cause of her death.
She was 64 years old. She was a consistent member of the Methodist church.
Her husband, Mr. William Adams, preceded her to the grave about twenty years
ago. She spent the most of her time in Grady County. Since her husband's
death, she has made her home with her sister, Mrs. J. D. Alligood in Cairo.
The funeral and burial services were held at the Cairo cemetery at 10:30
o'clock Wednesday morning. Rev. T. F. Davenport of the Methodist church
conducted the services.
She leaves one sister, Mrs. J. D. Alligood of Cairo and one brother, D. L.
Strickland, of Grady county to mourn her going away.
