Mr. Charles Joe Harveston, age 85 of Jonesboro, crossed through Heaven's gates surrounded by his family Friday, December 20, 2019. He worked and retired from West Rock after 37 years of service. Mr Harveston was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro and a Lion's Club member.
Mr. Harveston is survived by his loving wife of 61 years.... his daughters..... and grandchildren... . He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Clifton and Irene Lydia (Branch) Harveston; grandparents, Alex and Mary (Whitehead) Harveston, G.W. and Louella (Dark) Branch.
........... Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Jonesboro First Baptist Church at 2:00PM with Reverends Brian McAllister and Trey Etheridge officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Cemetery under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.
Serving as Mr. Harveston's pall bearers will be his beloved family and the deacons of First Baptist Church will serve as honorary pall bearers.
