Mahulda Carolyn "Carrie" (Turman) McQuary was born on on January 2, 1888 in Waynesboro, Wayne County, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of John Turman (1848–1928) and Dorothy Ann (Sims) Turman (1854–1934).
She was married on December 27, 1928 in Wayne County as the 2nd wife of George Washington McQuary III (1872–1955), the son of George Washington McQuary Jr and Martha Jane (Dozier) McQuary.
Living at 1020 West Delmas Avenue in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, Carrie was 73 years old and a widow when she was injured when an automobile struck her on September 14, 1961. She died on October 18, 1961 at Davidson County Hospital, where she had been for six days. Burial was on October 20th in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison {city, not county}.
