Mary Luella Williams, 73, of Sheridan, passed away at 8:15 a.m., at Seasons Hospice in Naperville. She was born in Mechanicsburg, Ill., the daughter of Lowell and Anna (Stark) Durbin. Mary graduated from Serena High School in 1958. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk and dedicated many years teaching CCD classes at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, as well as St. Mary Parish in Plano.

A major focus in Mary's life was her children and grandchildren who she loved deeply. She enjoyed playing bingo and trying out new recipes from her collection of cookbooks. Mary was employed by C.T.S. Knights in Sandwich. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Mary is survived by her children, Rick, Randy and Dwayne Shoopman, Deanne Rogowski and Jennifer Kleckner; seven grandchilden, Jade Hunter; Emerald, Sage, and Logan Kleckner; Riley and Aiden Rogowski; and sisters, Evelyn Cook and Dorothy (Ed) Cox. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Joseph L. Durbin.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Somonauk. A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at the Dayton Township Hall, 3312 E. 18th Road, Ottawa. Arrangements were organized by Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home in Newark.
