Lois I. (Armstrong) Flori, age 88, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Ottawa Pavilion, Ltd. in Ottawa, Illinois.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 28th at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home. In observance of CDC guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required and the number of visitors in the building will be monitored. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 at the funeral home with Pastor Sherry Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow at West Serena Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Lois was born September 20, 1932 in Serena, Illinois, a daughter of Francis and Viola (Armstrong) Flori. She married the love of her life, Ronald Francis Flori on July 5, 1952 in St. Columba Church in Ottawa, IL.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years: Ronald Flori; seven children: Ronald F. Flori Jr. of Ottawa, IL; Rhonda (Bill) Rowlee of Holland, MI; Dawn Corrie of Ottawa, IL; Doreen (Dennis) Gula of Ottawa, IL; Yvonne (Glenn) Pfeiff of Ottawa, IL; Cheryl (Dennis) O'Shea of Ottawa, IL; and Mark (Joann) Flori of Hanahan, SC; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and five great-great- grandchildren. Lois is also survived by a brother-in-law: Wayne Corcoran of Ottawa, IL; and sisters-in-law: Lucille Armstrong of Tucson, AZ and Sharon Damyen of Ottawa, IL.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Dean Armstrong and Duane Armstrong.

Lois was a wonderful mother to her seven children and many others. She dearly loved her family. Lois retired from Wal-Mart and had previously been employed at Union Carbide, Libbey Owens Ford and Handy Foods. She enjoyed reading and solving puzzles. Lois enjoyed traveling to Arizona to hear her brother sing in his group, the Dean Armstrong Band.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Harding United Methodist Church or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
