Miss Doris Burdeaux, whose marriage to Mr. Floyd A. Temple of Rayville, Louisiana, will be an interesting event of March 9, 1946, was the central figure in a group of intimates in the home of Mrs. John M. Parker, Monday night where open house attracted fifty or more guests.

Mrs. Fred Freeman, aunt of the bride-elect, presided over the punch bowl. A variety of delicious confections were passed among the guests by Misses Charlotte Pettit, Betty Jean Freeman, Betty Lou Himel, LaTrelle Kutz and Joy Michael.

Among the out of town guests were: M/M W. M. Temple, Mrs. W. M. Temple, Jr., Mrs. McVay and Mrs. H. Riley.

Mrs. Doris Elizabeth Burdeaux Temple, 79, of Bloomington, Illinois, formerly of West Monroe, Louisiana, passed away on July 21, 2007 as Asta Care Center, Bloomington, Illinois. Interment will be held at a later date under the direction of Beck Memorial Funeral Home, Bloomington, Illinois.

Mrs. Temple was born May 21, 1928 in West Monroe, Louisiana, to Henry "Harry" Burdeaux and Elizabeth Rundell Burdeaux. She married Floyd Temple on April 10, 1946 in West Monroe, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Mrs. Temple was a housewife. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Monroe, Louisiana, and she was a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a son and daughter:
Mark Temple and wife, Adrian, of Bloomington, Illinois
Beverly Temple Kloetzli and husband, Eric, of Vervey, Switzerland

Memorials may be made to the Humane Adoption Center of Monroe.
