Gilbert “Gil” L. Kotas, 83, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 5:01 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his residence. He was born on October 13, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI to Norbert & Margaret (Baumgartner) Kotas.

He graduated from East Side High School in Milwaukee and he was married on February 1, 1969 to be Barbara Podsiadly who survives. He was formerly employed as an electrical salesman at Helsel-Jepperson Electrical in Chicago Heights, IL for 30+ years. He grew up in Milwaukee, formerly lived in Calumet City, IL and Highland, IN, & moved to the Warsaw area in 2015.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw and the Knights of Columbus in Griffith, IN.

He is survived by: Wife – Barbara Kotas of Warsaw, Daughter – Lisa (James) Poblete of Warsaw, Canine Companion - Toby, Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law – Charles & Mary Podsiadly of Milwaukee, Brother–in-law – Bruce, Football Friend – Vince

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother – Wencil Kotas.
