Marion Devlin
A retired Pullman bank teller, Marion Devlin, 75, died March 10 at Yuma, Ariz., where she was spending the winter with her husband, Ralph.
Mrs. Devlin was born Feb. 19, 1901, in Olathe, Kan., to George and Cora Hackett. The family moved to Walla Walla the next year where she grew up and attended schools.
She was a 1924 graduate of Washington State College. After she graduated, she worked as an accountant at Spokane for St. Luke's Hospital and for the Spokane Land Bank. She married Devlin May 20, 1944 at Walla Walla. The couple resided at Spokane until they moved to Pullman in 1949.
Mrs. Devlin worked as a teller for the First National Bank, now the Old National Bank at Pullman, from 1949 until she retired in 1958. Her husband worked in the WSU publications office until he retired.
She was a member of Pi Beta Phi social sorority, the Daughters of the Nile and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Her husband requested any memorials be made to the Shrine Hospital for Crippled Children, Spokane.
The funeral was Monday in Kimball Funeral Home, Pullman. Burial was in the Pullman cemetery.
