James (Jim) C. Riggleman passed away at the age of 79 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana of COVID pneumonia on Friday, December 18, 2020. He was born on March 4, 1941 in Barton, Maryland to Leo Calvin and Donna (Brooks) Riggleman.

James graduated from Muncie Central High School. He retired from Borg Warner in Muncie after 32 years and went on to retire as maintenance from Head Start after 18 years. He married Patsy (Pat) Jean Cross on June 27, 1969. He attended The Jar Community Church and Glad Tidings in Muncie.

James is survived by his son, Scott A. Riggleman of Kodak, Tennessee; daughter, Kelli Hilfiker (Scott) of Winchester, Indiana; brother-in-law, Jay Farrel Needham of Daleville, Indiana; sister-in-law, Linda Stahl (Duane) of Muncie; five grandchildren, Courtney Riggleman of Johnson City, Tennessee, James Riggleman of Shanghai, China, Kailyn Burelison of Winchester, Brooks Burelison of Winchester, and Lindsey Bolding (Craig) of Muncie; three step-grandchildren, Samantha Menchhofer, Caitlin Fortkamp, and Erin Timmerman; one great granddaughter, Sophia of Johnson City, Tennessee; companion of 6 years, Rebecca (Becky) Covington; and several nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Calvin and Donna (Brooks) Riggleman; wife of 43 years, Patsy (Pat) Jean Cross Riggleman; son, James (Jamie) Bolding; sister, Carolyn Flynn; sisters-in-law, Shirley Needham and Mary Jo (Jodie) Brown; and brothers-in-law, Henry Eugene Cross, David Cross, and Larry Brown.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 28 at 1:00 pm, also in the Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Chris Bunch from The Jar Community Church. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com.
