MURDOCK - Peterson, Homer O., 89, died Nov. 1, 2006 at Harry Hynes Hospice, Wichita. He was born Dec. 8, 1916, at Wichita, Kansas, the son of Charles A. and Cora Helen Clark Peterson. A longtime resident of the Murdock community, he was a retired farmer and stockman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Kingman; the Clearwater Lodge A.F. & A.M., the Scottish Rite Bodies and Midian Shrine Temple, both of Wichita; and was a former member of the Rural Water District Board.

On May 8, 1938, he married Maxine A. Morrow at Wichita; she survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Pamela and husband Monte Wilson, Augusta, Marylou and husband Mike Reiter, Gladstone, Mo., and Linda and husband, Don Beauchamp, Cheney; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles Thomas.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman, with Pastor Tim O'Byrne presiding. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Wichita Park Cemetery, Wichita. Memorials may be made with Kingman First Baptist Church in care of the Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main, Kingman, Kansas, 67068.
