Mr. Kozanecki served our country proudly in the United States Army during World War II. In 1947, he wed Margaret Lucille Mattox and together they celebrated 57 years of marriage until her passing in 2004. Ralph retired from his job with the State of Illinois after many years of service. He was a past member of Moose Lodge #215, VFW Post #4 in Mr. Vernon, IL, American Legion Post #313 in Lexington, KY, and most recently, American Legion Post #42 in Bardstown, KY. He was also a devoted member of Parkway Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Larry (Tami) Kozanecki; grandchildren, Kaya Anne Kozanecki (Chuck) Muller, Sarah Elizabeth Rose (Logan) Bennet; great-grandchildren, Raymond, Anthony, and Joseph Muller; his brother, Hillard Kozanecki; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his loving wife, Margaret, his other two brothers, Raymond and Donald Kozanecki, preceded Ralph in death.
