DAYTON - Jeanette Austin, 71, passed away Monday, June 9, 1997, at Liberty-Dayton Hospital, Liberty. She was a native of Mineola, and had lived in Dayton since 1979. She was a retired payroll clerk with the Ethyl Corporation.
Services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 12, at the First Baptist Church, Dayton, with Rev. Randy Piatt and Rev. John Brady officiating. Burial was in Magnolia Park Cemetery, Dayton, under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton.
Survivors include her husband, John H. Ausin, Jr., of Dayton; sons, Johnny D Johnson of Montgomery, Jimmy P. Johnson of Houston, and Leonard Michael Johnson of Marietta, Georgia; daughters, Gwenddyly I. Dupre of Houma, Louisiana, and Billie Ruth Cunningham of Bourg, Louisana; brother, Robert Humphreys of Mineola; sisters, Lois Scott of Emery, and Mary Jo Hardin on Leavenworth, Kansas; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
