Marcella Hurley, 81, of Lake, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2002, at Cleveland, Ohio.
She was born January 9, 1921, at Lundale, a daughter of the late Holly Elbert and Virginia Lee Martin Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Hurley; four sons, Gary Ghiz, Marshall Kelly Hurley, Rodney Hurley and Van Hurley; one sister, Moiselle Smith Marsh, and three brothers, Mooch Smith, David Smith and Holly Smith Jr.
Mrs. Hurley was a homemaker, a member of the VFW Auxiliary Lodge No. 3668 at Lake and a member of the Spencer Methodist Church at Hewitt.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan (Robert) Woodard of Cleveland, Ohio, and Holly Jean (Raymond) Jude of Irwin, Penn.; one son, Warren Lee Hurley of Cleveland; one sister, Patricia Elswick of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Spencer Methodist Church with Rev. Roger McCauley and Earl Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the James Funeral Home Chapel in Aracoma.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Jude, Willis Hurley, Jerry Hurley, Faron Williamson, Danny Browning and Mike Ghiz.
