Autis Cal Tipton, 83, of Giddings died on April 27, 2007. A graveside service was held at the Carlisle City Cemetery in Carlisle, Texas on May 1, 2007.
Mr. Tipton was born on November 4, 1923 in Carlisle, Texas to William Cal and Maggie Mae Neumann Tipton. He was a machinist for Dow Chemical. He and Ruby Wagoner were married on December 6, 1987. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Michael Tipton; 3 brothers, Pat, W.C. and Norris Tipton; 2 sisters: Ruth Meyers and Audrey Faye Smith and grandson-in-law, Gene Hall.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby of Giddings; daughter, Shirley and husband Larry Graham of Giddings; grandchildren: Jerry Graham of Giddings, Tim Graham of Austin, Leah Hall of Giddings, Lexie Tipton of Houston, Matthew Tipton of Washington State and Beth Tipton of Houston; great grandchildren: David and Danielle Hall of Giddings and Landan Evans of Austin; brother, James Tipton of Dickinson and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Mr. Tipton was a Pearl Harbor survivor.
